Week Starts with Homicide in NE Albuquerque

NE Albuquerque-
Around 11:40AM, Albuquerque Police officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Ortiz Dr NE. When they arrived they found a female deceased from gunshot wounds.
The suspect has been identified Vicente Reyes. According to a criminal complaint, Reyes shot his girlfriend in the head. The homicide victim is identified as Misty Muniz. Reyes' sister told police that an argument turned into a physical altercation. She heard "bitch", "slut," "punk," and "whore" coming from the bathroom. A few minutes later she heard a "pop" from a gun.
The complaint goes on to say, on Mother's day Muniz found Reyes with another woman. The sister said Muniz and Reyes fought constantly and leave each other but get back together. The two were staying at the sister's house before the infidelity allegation. Muniz came back on 5/9/2022 to pack her things and leave. That is when the homicide happened.
Reyes' fled the scene with gun, cellphone, and a silver or white SUV that is low to the ground with big rims.
Reyes has an criminal history of domestic and family violence dating back to 2002. Witnesses on scene stated he was very violent in situations.
This is the sixth homicide in the last 72 hours. This is also Albuquerque's 56th homicide for 2022.
