Vehicle vs Pedestrian Fatal Being Investigated on I-25 Northbound at Montgomery

Albuquerque -
There are reports that there is a naked, dead body on I-25 northbound at Montgomery. Albuquerque Fire Rescue arrived on scene and determined that the person was no longer alive. Witnesses reported seeing a naked person in the area when they drove by. We have since learned from APD that the person was supposedly struck by a vehicle.
We have reporters headed to the scene to gather more information. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

We have reports that all lanes of I-25 northbound are closed and traffic is being diverted at Montaño. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes. HELP trucks are on scene as police work this very active scene.
UPDATED 7:30PM:
We have learned that a single vehicle struck the male pedestrian. The car had heavy front end damage. New Mexico State Police and Albuquerque Police Department were on scene investigating the crash.
The victim was an adult male and it appeared he was trying to cross the interstate during the busy rush hour.
