SWAT Situation Shuts Daycare Down

NE Albuquerque -

Albuquerque Police Department and Bernalillo County Sheriff's office members were on scene at the Sun Pointe Apartments located at 4057 Montgomery NE.

There was a heavy police presence of APD and BCSO as parents and staff were being evacuated from the Noah's Ark Children's Academy. The school is right behind the apartment complex.

BCSO SWAT was on scene helping with the understaffed APD SWAT team. APD does not have a fully staffed SWAT team. See our story on the what caused the staff shortage here.
