Saturday Morning Homicide Investigation under way in SE ABQ

Albuquerques latest homicide happened at 117 Richmond SE near the UNM campus. At around 8:30AM Police Officers responded to a call from a citizen who stated they had located a deceased male and several bullet casings in the immediate area. When Officers went on scene they confirmed there was a male who was deceased as a result of gunshot wounds.

Detectives are on scene trying to piece together exactly what happened. We will update this story if more information becomes available.

This is the 51st homicide in Albuquerque for 2022.
