Pedestrian Crash Investigation Underway

In the early hours of the morning, deadly crash involving a pedestrian happened just before 5:00 AM. The Albuquerque Police Department's Motors Unit has taken charge of the investigation, working diligently to uncover the details surrounding this incident.
The crash occurred in the vicinity of Central Avenue NE and Laguayra Drive NE, where APD officers were dispatched upon receiving reports of the pedestrian being struck. Upon arrival, officers found a victim who had tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
At the time of this posting, the scene has been cleared and westbound Central between Cardenas Dr NE and San Pedro Blvd NE have been reopened.
