ABQ – The metro area has hit a proud milestone today and has gone eleven days since its last homicide. Detectives with APD and BCSO are getting a much needed break from the already record breaking year thus far. APD’s violent crimes team last went out on October 2, 2022 to investigate a body found in front of Discount Tire on the west side.

The longest stretch of no homicides before today was back in February of this year when the city went 10 days without a homicide. Let’s hope this can continue for many more days to come.
