The vehicle that was being followed and then ran off of the road, it crashed in the area of Central and Tingley. The vehicle contained four passengers. Two female teen occupants died at scene from blunt force trauma to the head.
While fleeing from the first crash at Central and Tingley, the offender caused a second crash that happened near Central and Rio Grande. At the time, police were not able to locate the driver of that offender vehicle and police determined that he had fled the scene. It was determined later from an investigation that the offender vehicle was allegedly driven by Wilson and it was reported stolen by Wilson's friend.
APD homicide detectives were able to put together a case with witnesses, shopping records, and digital messages that showed Wilson as the alleged road rage driver/murderer.
As a result of the crash, Wilson is charged with two murder counts, a charge of unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and two aggravated battery charges. He has a pretrial detention hearing coming up.
