First Homicide of 2022 Happens in NE Part of ABQ

Albuquerque police are investigating the city's first homicide of 2022. Officers were dispatched to the Dorado Heights Apartments at 11800 Montgomery Blvd.

They found a female deceased inside the apartment.

No information on how the victim died or if any suspects have been identified.

In 2021 the homicide count was 153 and the first homicide did not happen till later January.
