Crime-Ridden 24 Hours in Albuquerque

Bryn Mawr Shooting Location - Wednesday, Aug 24, 2022

Incident 1:

Shortly before 8:30PM, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, the Albuquerque Police Department was dispatched to 3712 Bryn Mawr NE, which is west of Carlisle, in reference to a shooting. When APD arrived, they found a man who was shot. The victim was clinging to life and he was transported to a local hospital. According to APD's spokesman, Officer Daren DeAguero, the victim in critical condition. There is no one in custody.

Central and Yale Stabbing Location - Thursday, Aug 25, 2022

Incident 2:

Just after 4:00PM, on Thursday, August 25, 2022, the Albuquerque Police Department was called in reference to a stabbing that occurred at or near an ART station around Central and Yale. An alert was sent out at 4:13PM by both UNM PD and Lobo Alert warning subscribers of "Police Activity in area of Central and Yale to Central Stanford SE." The stabbing victim's status is unknown. The status of the suspect is also unknown.


Montgomery Shooting and Homicide Location - Thursday, Aug 25, 2022

Incident 3:

At around 5:00PM, on Thursday, August 25, 2022, the Albuquerque Police Department was dispatched to 4057 Montgomery Blvd NE, the Sun Pointe Park Apartments, in regards to a man that was shot. A witness told us that the shooting happened in the park area between the B and C buildings. According to the eye witness, it appeared that the man had been shot in the stomach region. The victim was transported to UNMH, where he died about an hour later. We have been told that one suspect was taken into custody. This is the 113th homicide in Albuquerque for 2022.
