Car Crashes into Home with Murder Victim Inside Vehicle

An APD detective walks the scene of a homicide at 241 Cagua Drive NE

SE ABQ - According to APD, officers in the Southeast Area Command responded to a call around 11 a.m. about a vehicle that crashed into a home in the area of San Pedro Blvd and Copper Ave. N.E. When officers arrived they discovered an adult male inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound. The man was declared deceased on scene.

Homicide detectives were seen on the scene conducting their investigation. The area near San Pedro Blvd from Domingo to Nambe Blvd were shut down with APD diverting traffic off of the arterial road of San Pedro.

This is the second homicide in less than 12 hours and the 159th homicide of 2022, for the Albuquerque metro area.
