Car Crash in Albuquerque Causes Sinkhole

NE Albuquerque -

Albuquerque Fire Rescue and Albuquerque Police were dispatched to the intersection of University and Menaul Blvd NE about a motor vehicle crash with injuries. A red Dodge Charger hit a fire hydrant and it caused a sink hole which swallowed the car.

It is unclear what caused the crash and it is also unknown the extent of injuries for the drivers or passengers. All lanes of traffic are closed in all direction at the intersection and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
