BREAKING: APD Involved in Officer Involved Shooting in War Zone

SE Albuquerque -

On August 17th, 2023, early this morning the Albuquerque Police Department was involved in an officer involved shooting. The incident happened at the 300 block of Rhode Island St. NE.

APD civilian spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos put out a statement indicating no officers were injured during the incident. The suspect fled on foot and was not located after a search of the neighborhood.

This is a developing story and we will update when more information becomes available.

This shooting will be investigated by a multi-agency task-force and the area of 300 Dallas will be shutdown while they conduct an investigation.
