BCSO Investigating Suspicious Death in SW ABQ

SW Albuquerque - Around 7:30AM, BCSO reported on their FB account that:

"Deputies are working an active crime scene in the area of Isleta Blvd and McEwen Ct. There are no specific details as of yet. Avoid the area."

"Shortly, after 1:00 AM, BCSO deputies responded to a deceased male near the 1600 block of McEwen. When Deputies responded, it was suspected that there was foul play involved in the death. It is being investigated by detectives at this time and there is no other information at this time," said BCSO spokeswoman Deputy Angelina Navarro.

If this is ruled a homicide by the OMI, this will be the second homicide in Albuquerque for 2023. At this rate, Albuquerque is on pace for 365 homicides for the year.
