Albuquerque Police Department Officers Working the Econo Lodge SWAT Call
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, there is an active multi-agency SWAT situation at the Econo Lodge West, which is located at 5712 Iliff Road NW. The New Mexico State Police, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, and Albuquerque Police Department were all on the scene. Police officials are reporting that the suspect who barricaded himself has several outstanding warrants.
Three occupants of the room being targeted did give up around 7PM including the man wanted for several outstanding burglary felony warrants.
