APD's Homicide Unit Takes Control of Deadly Shooting Investigation

The Albuquerque Police Department has activated its Homicide Unit to assume responsibility for a deadly shooting investigation. The incident unfolded shortly after midnight when APD officers were initially dispatched to the area of 920 Louisiana Blvd SE in response to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, the officers discovered one person who had tragically succumbed to their gunshot wounds, while another person was swiftly transported to a local hospital for treatment of their gunshot injuries.
This is the 53rd homicide for the Albuquerque Metro Area so far in 2023.
More information will be provided when and if it becomes available. APD claims that an update will be provided at a later time.
