NE Albuquerque -

Around noon, a New Mexico State Police officer was approached by Del Norte High School students at Chick-FIl-A at San Mateo and Montgomery in regards to an active shooter at the school. The officer dispatched the information and it started a multi-agency response to Del Norte High School. The school was put on lock-down as officers arrived.

Witnesses told police that 4 to 6 shots were fired outside near the school and a possible offender vehicle described as a white Nissan sedan with dark window tint fled west bound on Montgomery.

According to the Albuquerque Police Department's PIO twitter account, APD is responding to reports of shots fired near Del Norte High School. Albuquerque Pubic School's (APS) Twitter account is reporting shots fired near or in the parking lot. ABQ RAW has received comments from parents that the shooting is near the school.

According to both the APD PIO Twitter account and APS Twitter account, Del Norte will be released at 2:20PM. Students will be released on the northwest corner of the school.

At the scene, we observed law enforcement from the New Mexico State Police (NMSP), Albuquerque Police Department (APD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Homeland Security (HSI) and Game and Fish.

Shortly after 1:00pm, APD said "there are no reports of injuries at this time."

This is a developing story and we will continue to update it as information becomes available.
