The Albuquerque Police Department's homicide unit is responding to investigate the deaths of two people located inside a burning home at 3109 Pitt St. NE.
The Albuquerque Fire Rescue Arson Unit was called to the scene to investigate the fire when the bodies were discovered. The fire was investigated by AFR's Arson Unit, but due to suspicious circumstances, APD's homicide detectives were also called to the scene.
APD and AFR will provide an update when information is available.
We have reporters headed to the scene to try and gather more information.
