APD Exchanges Gun Fire with Fleeing Vehicle who shot at them

SE Albuquerque -

Around 12:15AM, Albuquerque Police officers were dispatched to the area of Central and Charleston SE at the Albuquerque Inn.

An APD officer radioed out that he heard around 20 shots in the area before going to the Albuquerque Inn. The shots were being fired between two vehicles. As officers came in contact with one of the vehicles shots were fired at the APD officers and a suspect vehicle. One officer fired back at the fleeing vehicle.

This is the fifth officer involved shooting APD has been involved in so far in 2022.

The suspect is still on the loose. It is unknown if anyone in the fleeing vehicle was hit by Officers gunfire.
